What is the prospect’s strategy and ambitions?

Strategy
• Market penetration and possible expansion in Scotland

They offer their services in multiple areas of Glasgow and throughout the central belt of Scotland. Additionally, they seem willing to provide their services beyond      those areas upon request.

• Cost and price-focused strategy

This company’s strategy is to provide competitive prices to attract and retain customers, ensuring they remain a cost-effective choice in the market.
By consistently offering attractive pricing, they aim to gain a competitive edge and foster long-term customer relations.

• Marketing Outsourcing

The company approached Toltech as they weren’t happy with the current look, feel and usability of their website and felt that it didn’t represent their business as they wanted it to. They were asked to work closely with management to understand the nature of the business and how best to create a website which properly represented it. So, Toltech provided and implemented a comprehensive online marketing strategy to Stellar, so they can include regular website updates, email marketing campaigns, social media advertising all of which they reported on at regular intervals.

• Customer Service

They appear to emphasise customer service and ensure that all of their staff (admin, management and technical) are trained to the highest standard in customer service.

• Workforce Training

All of their tradespeople are trained in their respective disciplines, for example plumbers, heating engineers, electricians, roofers and builders and carry the relevant accreditations from industry recognised bodies. All of their managerial staff are also qualified tradespeople who have had many years of experience in their management roles and can therefore provide you with the best advice, knowledge and management skills while working with their onsite teams to ensure that the customer get exactly what they should get on their project, whatever the size. Their staff have always taken pride in what they do and all are determined to give you the service that the customer expect and that they have become accustomed to providing.

Ambitions

• Geo-focused client network expansion
Given that they project analytically all the Scottish areas they serve on their website, along with the volition to assist clients beyond this reach, the company may plan to gradually expand its network of clients in other areas (possibly neighbours to Scotland or Glasgow and Edinburg).

• To be an established, respectable brand in the industry
The facts that they want to penetrate their market further, their price-focused strategy, and their emphasis on high-quality customer service and workforce training indicate a potential ambition to belong to the sector’s major players. This affirmation is partially supported by their “promise” on their page saying: “Fully Insured 100% Guaranteed Work 100% Accredited 100% Price Transparency 100%”.

Who are the prospect's customers?

Generally, they refer to domestic, public organisations (social housing properties), mutual organisations (NFU Mutual) and, also, commercial clients who need Plumbing, Heating, Drainage and Bathroom services.

Case studies:

Farm Outbuilding Roof Repair, Central Scotland

Sector Type: Major & Complex

NFU Mutual

How they helped:
Stellar Insurance Reinstatement Services were instructed by the loss adjuster on behalf of NFU Mutual in order to initially undertake a make safe of the fire damaged out building which consisted of erecting a top hat scaffold and installing a new temporary meter to allow the incoming mains to be reconnected and power reinstated to main dwelling, all of the above was completed within 48 hours and the insured back in their main residence after only a couple of days.

Both the client and the insured were so impressed with the service provided to date that we were also awarded the reinstatement contract.

This project had its own particular issues as all do, the full roof was original to the building which was hand cut, the insureds father who sadly passed away had actually built the out building in question so this also held sentimental value. Stellar Insurance Reinstatement Services assured the insured that it would be reinstated exactly as it was before and even designed the roof and had a meeting with the insured to get this approved before the repairs commenced, the insured really appreciated this touch and was delighted with the proposed design and detail provided as we had listed every structural member that was there pre loss to ensure an exact match.

The results:
Once the roof was completed a full internal refurbishment was undertaken including new hard wood windows and doors, plasterboard and finishes followed by decoration to the existing external render which returned the property to a pre loss condition although the insured did feed back that it was even better than before.

Roof Design
The existing pre loss makeup of the roof which consists of 28 common rafters, 52 Jack rafters, 16 collars, 58 joist hangers for outriggers, 92m2 of 19mm sarking boards, 92 of natural slate roof covering, we have also had to make an allowance for the supply and installation of 2 number 245mm x 45mm steel I beams to be installed to account for the span.

Fire Damaged Property Restoration, Cumnock

Sector Type: Major & Complex

How they helped: Site secured, toilet facilities in place (welfare van also on site) scaffolding erected and site rules clearly displayed. The building warrant was approved on a Tuesday and their trades were on site on the Thursday. Site clearance and strip out works commenced to allow a full inspection of the structure and ordering of the roof trusses and windows to get the building back to a wind and water tight condition.

The results: These repairs are being completed our Major and Complex Loss team who specialise in these types of repairs.

House Fire Insurance Reinstatment, Lanark

Sector Type: Major & Complex

How they helped: Strip out commenced on a devastating fire at this property in Lanark. As of July 2022 a building warrant is not yet in place. However, a soft start has allowed us to complete site set up and internal strip out leaving just the roof structure in place.

The results: This project is being managed by our Major and Complex Loss team and we will update our progress once all approvals are in place and works on-going.

Review text: “Busy workplace with a good verity of work, allowed to work on own initiative with the back up of my line manager & project managers, other trades on sites are also helpful and good to work with. Managers allow enough time to make sure a quality job has been left rather than the way my previous companies have been just wanting to get the job done as fast as possible.”
