Negative Outlook
Disapproves of CEO
I worked at Planet Organic part-time for more than a year

Pros
I cant find really any pros, even if you are an employee and has a diacount card prices there are still shocking comparingt to competitors’ prices who also run healthy shops. I buy organic food everyday but here prices are just crazy.

Cons
-very high prices -profit first not customer and employees -no proper trainging for staff, no one explained me health and safety rules -unpaid trainings, unpaid breaks -bad management -no organisation and respect for employees -employees are just cheap workforce not shareholders with equal rights

Advice to Management
-a lot to improve, starting from employees’ perspective

Positive Outlook
I have been working at Planet Organic full-time for more than 4 years

Pros
Planet has a strong, positive but relaxed culture working in an interesting and ethically conscious part of the food retail industry. Planet have invested in my development with both internally and externally delivered programmes and qualifications since I arrived and are a growing business, which is exciting to be a part of.

Cons
Working for an SME retailer always means you wish you had greater resources at times but I am happy to trade this for the positive environment.

As a fairly tight-knit company, successes and achievements are spotted quickly and those with potential are given the options to learn, train and progress quickly. There is a fantastic amount of internal and external training. there is always something new and interesting for those who want it. Salaries and benefits are amongst the highest around!

Cons
none i can think of!

Advice to Management
Keep going – open more locations and grow the business.

“Do not live up to their values.”
Former Employee – Team Leader in London, England
Doesn’t Recommend
Neutral Outlook
No opinion of CEO
I worked at Planet Organic full-time for more than 2 years

Pros
Discount on amazing hot food. Exposure to a network of up and coming food and drink / healthy brands. Surprising number of nice people work for this company.

Cons
No real training, managers will expect knowledge of products even when employed on minimum wage. Hard to progress unless you have friends in the management. Widespread examples of negative behaviour coming from middle managers and head office. Wastage policies in dire need of improvement.

Advice to Management
A management culture based on praising is needed, show respect for entry level staff to increase retention, lead by example instead of highlighting staff mistakes.
